Terp pearls (also dab pearls or pills) are small balls of quartz, ruby or ceramic that go inside the banger. Airflow from the carb cap spins them and they smear the concentrate across the floor.
What you get out of it: nothing sits in one corner, it vaporises evenly, and less is left on the floor to swab.
The practical numbers:
- Size — 4 to 6 mm for a normal banger. Narrower ones take smaller, wide ones take two.
- Material — quartz is standard, ruby holds heat noticeably longer, ceramic is cheapest.
- They do nothing without a cap. A pearl is spun by suction. With no lid it just sits on the floor.
Swab the pearls at the same time as the banger, or they weld themselves to it.
