Reclaim is the residue that collects on the walls of a rig and the floor of a banger after a few sessions. It is material that vaporised but condensed before it made it any further.
It tastes different from the original — only traces of the terpenes are left in it, so it is noticeably darker and heavier on the palate.
How to get it out:
- Reclaim catcher — a part between rig and banger that collects it as you go. The cleanest route.
- Warming the rig — no water in it, carefully, so it runs down.
- 99% isopropyl — fastest, but then there is alcohol in it and it has to evaporate off.
However you deal with it, the point is not to leave it sitting in the rig. A clogged percolator stops working and baked-on residue ruins the flavour of everything after it.
