A dab rig is water filtration built for concentrates. Instead of a bowl for flower it has a joint for a banger or a nail.
What sets it apart from a bong is mostly volume. A rig is deliberately small with a short path for the vapour — the longer the route and the more water, the more flavour gets left hanging on the way. That is why rigs are 15–25 cm and not half a metre.
A percolator is an internal part that drags the vapour through water across several holes. A recycler loops it round. Both cool, both cost you a little flavour — pick by which of the two bothers you less.
