Cannabinoids are a group of compounds the cannabis plant naturally contains. There are over a hundred of them and you meet them on labels as abbreviations.
The most common ones:
- CBD (cannabidiol) — the most widespread in products on the Czech market.
- CBG (cannabigerol) — the starting compound the others form from in the plant.
- CBN (cannabinol) — forms gradually as material ages.
- THC (tetrahydrocannabinol) — psychoactive; its content is limited by law in the Czech Republic.
The acid form. In the living plant these compounds sit in an acidic form, marked with an A on the end — CBDA, THCA. Only heating converts them to the form without the A. That is also where the name of THCA crystals.
