BHO (Butane Hash Oil) is the umbrella name for concentrates made by butane extraction. It is not one specific thing — shatter, wax, budder and crumble all fall under BHO. They differ only in the finish.
The critical part is the last step, purging: pulling residual butane off under vacuum at a controlled temperature. It takes hours to days and it decides what stays in the product.
Which is why a lab test for residual solvents is the thing to ask for with BHO. It is the only way to learn anything about an unfinished purge — you will not see it or smell it.
Production belongs in a certified closed loop with extraction ventilation. Butane is heavier than air and it sits at floor level.
